Saranya Shiva-Shankar is the Founder of Expanding Our Horizon, an initiative she established to foster cultural empathy and bridge community divides. Driven by a mission to create a more inclusive and informed society, she guides the organization's vision of exploring and highlighting diverse social, health, and cultural practices across local communities. Beyond her leadership with the organization, Saranya is an accomplished artist who contributed to local civic history by donating a portrait of Hillsborough’s first police officer to the township. She is also a dedicated Girl Scouts alumna and a longtime competitive volleyball player.
